6. Installation

• First, detach the installation ring from the camera, see
Figure at the right. The installation ring is to be turned
in the counter-clockwise direction.
• Mark the corresponding positions through the mounting holes of the installation ring , if you
must dill holes to mount the wall bracket.
Also, if necessary, drill a hole in the wall large enough to thread the connection cable through.
Please ensure that no cables or wires are damaged when drilling.
Select the installation location so it is protected against attempts to tamper with the cam-
era. For this reason, the camera should be mounted at a minimum height of 2.5 m.
• Either run the connection cable from either side of the wall bracket or run it through an existing
hole in the wall, where you want to mount the wall bracket.
Protect the plug against dust and dirt, e.g. with a small plastic bag.
If the connection cable is too short (depending on the wall thickness or installation position),
use a suitable connection box mounted near the camera.
Depending on where the camera is mounted, this con-
nection box must be suitable for outdoor installation.
The cable connection for the video output or the power
supply can then be placed in the connection box, also
the housing with the control knob, which is located on
the camera cable, see right.
Lay the cable in such a way that it is protected against tampering, e.g. in a cable duct or
similar.
• Place the camera and the bracket on the installation ring. Align the camera and screw the
bracket tight.
