Forming a group control from several roller shutter drives
(Example 2: Bay window)
The 3 drives for the bay window are to form a group. No additional
TouchControl is to be used. In order to ensure that the group identification
code is also transmitted only into the required roller shutter drives and not into
all drives within the radio frequency range, the registration takes place in 2
steps: first of all, the group identification code is transferred to the respective
TouchControl and stored. Then the group code is transmitted from the
TouchControl to its roller shutter drive:
1.
Select a TouchControl as a "master unit". Its group identification code is
transferred to all other transmitters and transmitted to all roller shutter
drives in the group.
2.
Remove the cover from the group button of the selected transmitter (mas-
ter unit).
3.
Put one switch (S1-6) according to the table (e.g. S2) to "ON", S7 to "ON"
and S8 to "OFF".
4.
Press the group button, until the drive acknowledges the programming
procedure with a "jolt".
5.
Put switches S7 and S8 to "OFF".
6.
If necessary, perform a functional check: press the group and direction
key simultaneously: the LED will illuminate and the drive will run in the
required direction.
7.
Replace the cover on the group button, position the master unit sepa-
rately.
8.
Remove the cover from the group button of the next transmitter.
9.
Put the same switch (S1-6) as for the master unit in step 3 to "ON", S7 to
"ON" and S8 to "OFF".
10. Place the master unit directly beside this one.
11. Press the group button on the master unit and keep it pressed down.
12. Press the group button on the adjacent transmitter until its LED flashes
and goes out.
13. Release both transmitters, position the master unit separately.
14. Press the group button again, until the roller shutter drive acknowledges
the programming procedure with a "jolt".
15. Put switches S7 and S8 to "OFF".
16. Perform a functional check: press group and direction button simulta-

neously: the LED will illuminate and all previously set drives in the group

will run in the appropriate direction.
17. Replace the cover of the group button.
18. Repeat steps 8 to 17 with all other wall transmitters.
