Precautions for use

Avoid using the HVE (high volume evacu-
ation) to ensure sufficient cooling of tissue and the
instrument.
Only use EMS Piezon Surgery instruments.
Never work dry with Piezon Surgery instru-
ments (unless otherwise specified). The tip of the
instrument immediately heats up when used dry.
Always make sure there is enough irrigation.
The specified life span of the instrument
is validated in normal working conditions. Never
activate the instrument in the air because this
amplifies the vibrations, thus generating structural
fatigue and early breakage of the instrument.
Before the operation, always activate the
instrument at minimum power until the irrigation
liquid flows continuously at the instrument tip. The
irrigation liquid has a regulating effect on vibrations
of the instrument to avoid early breakage.

Eviter l'utilisation de la grande aspiration afin
d'assurer un refroidissement suffisant des tissus
et de l'instrument.
Utiliser seulement des instruments Piezon
Surgery EMS.
Ne jamais travailler à sec avec les
instruments Piezon Surgery (sauf exceptions
mentionnées). Les pointes actives s'échauffent
immédiatement en travaillant à sec. Toujours
s'assurer que le débit de liquide d'irrigation est
suffisant.
La durée de vie spécifiée des instruments est
validée en condition de travail normalle. Ne jamais
activer l'instrument dans le vide car cela amplfie les
vibrations, générant ainsi une fatique structurelle
et une casse prématurée de l'instrument.
Avant d'opérer, toujours activer l'instrument
à la puissance minimum jusqu'à ce que le liquide
d'irrigation coule de manière continue à la pointe
de l'instrument. Le liquide d'irrigation a un effet
régulateur des vibrations de l'instrument pour éviter
les cassures prématurées.

Vermeiden Sie den Gebrauch der großen
Absaugkanüle, um ausreichende Kühlung von
Gewebe und Instrument sicherzustellen.
Verwenden Sie nur Piezon Surgery-Instru-
mente von EMS.
Arbeiten Sie niemals trocken mit den Piezon
Surgery-Instrumenten. (Es sei denn, diese Möglichkeit
wird ausdrücklich eingeräumt.) Die Arbeitsspitze der
Instrumente erwärmt sich bei trockenem Arbeiten sehr
schnell. Vergewissern Sie sich stets, dass genügend
Spülflüssigkeit vorhanden ist.
Die angegebene Lebensdauer des Instru-
ments wurde unter normalen Arbeitsbedingungen
validiert. Schalten Sie das Instrument niemals in der
Luft ein, da dadurch die Schwingungen verstärkt
werden, was zu strukturellen Ermüdungen und einem
frühzeitigen Abbrechen des Instruments führen kann.
Schalten Sie das Instrument vor dem Eingriff
immer auf kleinster Leistungsstufe ein, bis die
Spülflüssigkeit kontinuierlich aus der Instrumen-
tenspitze austritt. Die Spülflüssigkeit hat einen
regulierenden Einfluss auf die Schwingungen des
Instruments und verhindert frühzeitiges Abbrechen.
