Native blood vessels or vessels fitted with stents, stent grafts or native or artificial bypasses outside the
cardiopulmonary, coronary and cerebral circulations.
Use an introducer sheath fitting the patient's anatomy as well as the catheter's dimension.
WARNING: Only use sheaths that are highly resistant to kinking. A kink in the introducer sheath
occurring during the Aspirex
even break off, which can have serious health consequences for the patient.
CAUTION: The internal lumen of the introducer sheath must at least correspond to the external
diameter of the catheter. Using an introducer sheath with a larger internal lumen can simplify handling
of the catheter.
CAUTION: Follow the operating instructions for the sheath selected.
For filling the catheter lumen with heparinised isotonic saline before use and to flush the catheter when the
procedure is intermitted.
