Preparation for use: 1. For set-up and handling of the Straub Medical Drive System (REF SRS Set) consult the user manual of the Straub Medical Drive System. This provides instructions for handling the sterile drapes included in the catheter set, which are used to cover parts of the Straub Medical Drive System. - Page 7 Taking out the catheter and connecting it to the Straub Medical Drive System: 1. Remove the sterile catheter from its blister packaging contained in the catheter set. To connect the sterile catheter to the Straub Medical Drive System (REF SRS Set) and connect the sterile collecting bag, consult the user manual of the Straub Medical Drive System (REF SRS Set).
- Page 8 2. The motor is activated by the hand- or footswitch. Monitor the revolution speed of the helix on the LED bar on the Straub Medical Drive System. The green LEDs indicating correct speed should never go out completely at any stage of the procedure. The Straub Medical Drive System is equipped with an acoustic warning system which emits an audible alarm if all the green LEDs are extinguished.
- Page 9 If the helix does not rotate despite the motor being activated, it might be blocked with a foreign body. Press the ”return” key on the Straub Medical Drive System while pressing the hand- or footswitch to allow the catheter head to move briefly in the opposite direction, which should clear the blockage.

Vorbereitung zur Anwendung: 1. Für den Aufbau und die Handhabung des Straub Medical Drive Systems (REF SRS-Set) ist die Gebrauchsanweisung des Straub Medical Drive Systems zu befolgen. Dort finden sich auch die Anweisungen zur Handhabung der im Katheter-Set enthaltenen sterilen Drapes, mit denen Teile des Straub Medical Drive Systems überzogen werden. - Page 15 1. Der sterile Katheter wird der im Katheter-Set enthaltenen Blisterverpackung entnommen. Für die Verbindung des sterilen Katheters mit dem Straub Medical Drive System (REF SRS-Set) und das Anschliessen des sterilen Auffangbeutels (Collecting bag) sind die Anweisungen in der Gebrauchsanweisung des Straub Medical Drive System (REF SRS-Set) zu befolgen.
