- Shorten the intermediate lever 8.11 and attach the three
pushrod connectors 8.12 and the clamping screws 8.13 and
8.14 to it.
- Solder the connecting rod 8.15 to the pinless clevises 8.16
.
- Press the clevises onto the ball-end bolts and slip the pus-
hrods through the inner pushrod connectors.

- Cut round the outside shape of the front hull sections 9.1. At
the bow leave the flange in place to form a gluing surface
(F).
- Trim the top slot masks 9.2 to size, trim them to fit and glue
them in place.
- File back the support struts behind the slots to the point
where they are no longer visible from outside.
- Drill (1.5 ø) and trim the bottom slot masks 9.3 to fit and tape
them to the forward hull mouldings. Mark the position of the
holes and open up the holes in the slot masks only to 2.5
mm ø. Temporarily fit the screws 9.4 to attach the masks
and cut a thread in the holes.
- Unscrew the slot masks.
- Trim the forward masks 9.5 and 9.6 to fit and glue them in
place. Trim the right-hand mask in the area of the anchor
hawse (recess).
- Drill the holes for the anchor and hydroplanes.
- Glue the locating strip 9.7 to the bottom of one hull shell 9.1
in the area of the keel shoulder. Note the overlength of the
keel strip 2.4.
- Sand the inner flange on both sides of the bow perfectly flat.
File out the tunnels for the allen key below the forward slot
masks 9.6.
- Place the shells together and align them using the tunnels

- Fit the lever and the aluminium bush 8.17, the washer 8.18
and the nut 8.19.
- Connect the pushrod 6.4 to the outer pushrod connector.
Set the rudders and levers to centre and tighten the screws
in the pushrod connectors lightly.

and the locating strip as a guide. For accurate alignment
place a 5 mm ø drill in the tunnel, then clamp the parts
together along the joint (F).
- Fit more clamps at the rear end to prevent the parts shif-
ting. Tape the rest of the joint seams together.
- The mouldings can now be glued together using cyano by
allowing drops of glue to run all round the joint lines on the
inside.
- Cut the reinforcing strip 9.8 to length. Apply Stabilit-
Express to the bottom joint line and embed the strip in the
soft resin.
- Remove the clamps when the glue has set hard, check the
joint in the bow region and apply more Stabilit-Express as
necessary. At the same time glue in place the reinforce-
ment 9.9 and the gusset 9.10 (F).
- To align the front hull section fit the spacer tube 1.7 with
the soldered-in threaded pushrod 1.8 in the 5 mm ø holes
for the hydroplane shaft.
- Place the forward hull section against the aft hull section.
Fit the blocks K (53 mm) under the tube. Check alignment
again using the string and sand back the joint flanges if
necessary. Check that the boat's centreline is at right-
angles to the spacer tube, as for the rear hydroplanes.
Tape the forward hull section in place.
