Adjustment of box
The front panel of the control box in the power
source is separated into four (4) main areas in order
to simplifiy the use of the controls.
1.
Electronic choke (MIG/MAG)
The choke function allows adjustment of the
electronic choke and can be adjusted from 0 to
10, where 0 gives the "hardest" arc and 10
gives the "softest" arc.

Reverser
(internal/external and selection of gas)
This reverser is used during MMA-welding for
selection of either internal adjustment of welding
current
(adjustment from power source) or
external adjustment of welding current
justment from wire feed unit).
Selection of gas is immaterial when MMA
welding.
The reverser should always be set in an
external position with correct selection of gas
in order to obtain correct welding charac-
teristics when MIG/MAG welding
The function may be implemented with another
type of reverser than illustrated.
Hot-start (MMA-welding only)
Hot-start is a function that helps to establish the
arc when MMA welding. This is achieved by in-
creasing welding current (when the electrode is
applied to the workpiece) by a certain per-
centage value in relation to the set value. This
increased start current is maintained for one
second, after which it decreases exponentially
to the set value of welding current.
Welding current (MMA-welding only)
Current adjustment: 0-400 A.
Torch cooling error
The torch cooling error indicator is illuminated if
there is no flow or insufficient flow of water to
the torch.
Mains error
The mains error indicator is illuminated if the
mains voltage is too high or low.
Machine overheating
The overheating indicator is illuminated if weld-
ing is interrupted due to overheating of the
machine.
Welding voltage
The welding voltage indicator is illuminated for
reasons of safety and in order to show that
there is voltage on the MMA electrode or the
MIG/MAG torch.
