Important!
In order to avoid destruction of
plugs and cables, good electric

How
separate wire feed unit
Connect the rear of the
separate wire feed unit to the
rear of the power source
using a MIGATRONIC ex-
tension cable which contains
cables and hoses for positive
outlet (pos. 1), control signals
(pos. 2), gas (pos. 3) and
torch cooling water (pos. 4) if
a cooling unit is fitted to the power source.
Fitting of the electrode cable (MMA welding)
The electrode cable should be connected to the
positive outlet on the front of the power source when
MMA welding. A special MIGATRONIC kit containing
a positive outlet can be fitted to the wire feed unit
and the electrode cable is then placed in this positive
outlet. Current can be adjusted from the wire feed
unit, so providing a remote control facility (special
equipment).
Connection of a torch cooling unit
Fit the module under the power source. Place the 4-
poled plug (5) in the corresponding socket in the
power source. Fit the flow hose on the water cooled
torch to the quick release connection marked with
blue (6) and the return hose to the quick release
connection marked with red (7). The cooling liquid
level can be seen in the inspection cover frame (8).
Note: O-ring on the stopper to the filler neck must
be removed before starting up of the cooling
unit.
Filling with cooling liquid
Cooling liquid can be filled into the torch cooling
unit by opening the cover (9), pulling out the water
tank and dismounting the screw plug (10). The
drain plug for filling up (12) should be loosened.
The cooling unit should be filled up at maximum. In
case of problems when starting up, the drain plug
(11) should be opened. Close the drain plug when
the system has been drained.
Refillment of cooling liquid should be carried out
behind the front cover (9) (pull out the drawer in
order to make the filler neck accessible).

Trolley with Automatic
voltage transformation module
FLEX MFA 400
Description of the automatic
voltage transformation module
Trolley for 2 bottles and equipped with an automatic
voltage transformation module enables connection
with the power source to the following mains
voltages: 230-400-440-500V.
The module automatically measures the mains
voltage and makes the necessary voltage transfor-
mation to supply the power source. The module has
a mains switch (8). If the power down mode is
enabled on the control PCB (13) the module will
automatically activate power down after 40 min.
without use of the welding power source. When
pushing the control knob (7) on the front, the module
will power up again. (Circuit diagram page 51).
