Binary outputs (default configuration)
The binary outputs are executed as realy outputs (potential-free changeover
contacts).
Functions
Relay 1**
LIMIT (y)
Relay 2*
ERROR (serious error, e.g. sensor breakage or faulty internal
voltage supply)
* (not present with 8710 / 8700 / 8711 / 8701 / 8713 / 8703)
* * (with 8713 / 8703 as normally closed contact)
NOTE
The functions of the POWER- and ERROR-LED are unchangable.
The described functions of the standard signal inputs and outputs
and the binary inputs and outputs are settings as delivered.
Applicationspecific settings of binary inputs and outputs
The MFCs additionally enables the user to set other or further functions to the
binary inputs and outputs. This option provides the opportunity to adapt the MFC to
special conditions in the facility or specific requirements of the application.
The functions can be set with the communication software
(MassFlowCommunicator – see Apendix C). The setting of the functions is
detailled explained in the help-function of the MassFlowCommunicator in the menu
item „Assignment of In- and Outputs".
LEDs of the device
The LEDs which are integrated in the device display the staus of the setted
functions. Following functions can be setted to the LEDs:
- Display of the active used gascalibration
- Display of active binary inputs
- valve completely opened or closed
- control of safety value
- setpoint profile of the device is controlled
- Control operation active / inactive
- communication active / inactive
- source of setpoint - bus / serial communication
- several bus- or communicationstatus
(see help-function of the MassFlowCommunicator - „Assignment of In- and Outputs")
