Binary outputs
The binary outputs of the MFC, which can be defined specificly, can be used to
transfer information to a higher-level controller under certain circumstances.
The binary outputs enable to make predication of the device or can be used for
diagnostics and fixing malfunctions.
- Status of the device
autotune routine active
active used gascalibration
active binary inputs
status of bus module or bus communication
setpoint profile of the device is controlled
control operation active
control of safety value
valve completely opened or closed
- limit switches
Binary outputs are setted when the limit value (eg. totalizer limit value, set point
limit value etc.) is under- or overstepped.
- faults/malfunctions
Serveral faults and malfunctions can be reported, for example sensor
damages or faults with current or supply voltage.
(see help-function of the MassFlowCommunicator - „Assignment of In- and Outputs")
Binary intputs
Defined functions can be set to the binary inputs. If the binary input is externally
activated the function is processed.
- activate autotune routine
- Switch to another gascalibration
- safety value active / inactive - control of safety value depending on the binary input
- setpoint profile of the device is controlled
- switch to control operation
- reset the totalizers
- open or close valve completely
(see help-function of the MassFlowCommunicator - „Assignment of In- and Outputs")
