FTER THE RUNNING IN OF THE ENGINE
The driving characteristics of the model are suitable for first trial runs as well as for advanced drivers. However, with a
better knowledge of driving, the demands on the model will also grow. These demands depend on the driving style of the
respective driver and his/her ambitions, regarding a high end speed, maximum torque, just for fun or use at competitions.
Tuning
Rex-X-Chassis satisfies ambitious model pilots because of its numerous undercarriage-tuning possibilities.
The inclination of the front and rear wheels can be adjusted continuously in a large range via threaded rods in the right
and left steering links. Threaded rods in the right and left steering links allow, as well, for a continuous fine tuning of the
alignment.
The inclination of the rear wing can be set flatter by modifying the mounting parts.
The spring preload of the four oil dampened shock absorber as well as the progressivity of the damping can be modi-
fied by using spacer rings and changing the angle of attack of the oil dampened shock absorber.
The accessories contain silicone oils of different viscosity for the oil dampened shock absorbers as well as diffe-
rential oils of different viscosity with which you can have an impact on the block function of the front and rear axle
differential.
Before starting to work on the model, retrofit the necessary accessories and prepare the needed tools.
The workplace must be sufficiently large and must be well illuminated. The working place must be smooth, clean
and hard-wearing (against oil stains, fuel, etc.).
Do not use a cordless screwdriver! In particular, thread cutting screws in plastic must be tightened with sure
instinct in order to avoid breaking the cut thread.
Place a piece of cloth (plain, light color) on the work surface, so that small parts that fall down such as screws
can be found easily and don't fall off the table.

ETTING THE ALIGNMENT
The alignment designates the position of the wheel level to the driving direction.
During the drive the tires are pushed apart in the front because of the rolling friction and this is why they are no longer
exactly parallel to the drive direction. To balance, the wheels of the stationary vehicle can be set, so that they point slightly
inward.
This toe-in effects an improved lateral cornering of the tire and therefore a more direct response of the steering If a milder
response of steering is desired, this can be achieved accordingly by adjusting a toe-out , i.e. the wheels of the stationary
vehicle point outward.
For a rough adjustment of the alignment, the outer steering links can be screwed on the middle steering link part at two
further fastening points.
Doing so will change the Ackerman angle.
The clamping screws with spanner flat (5mm) for the separate
adjustment of the inclination of the front wheel are located in the
right and left steering link.
The toe-in of the front wheel must not exceed 4°.
Toe-in
Setting a toe-in makes the
inner part of the tires wear faster.

Toe-out
Setting a toe-out makes the
outer part of the tires wear faster.
