Category 3: Components that may only be replaced after approval by PROPAIN Bikes or after approval by the component manufacturer.
• Crank (if the distances crank - center of the frame (Q-factor) are observed).
• Wheel (if the ETRTO is respected)
• Chain / belt (if the original width is maintained)
• Rim tape (Rim tape and rims must be matched to each other. Changed combinations can lead to slipping of the rim tape and thus to tube defects).
• Tires (The strong acceleration, additional weight and more dynamic cornering make it necessary to use tires that are approved for e-bike use. It is necessary to take into account that the ETRTO is
respected).
• Brake cables / brake hoses
• Brake pads
• Handlebar and stem (As far as the cable and / or the hose lengths do not have to be changed.)
• Saddle and seatpost (If the offset to the rear compared to the original saddle / seatpost unit is not greater than 20 mm. A change in load distribution outside the intended adjustment range may lead to
critical steering characteristics. The length of the saddle stays on the saddle rail and the saddle shape also plays a role).
• Headlights (headlights are designed for a certain voltage, which must match the batteries in the e-bike. In addition, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) must be ensured, and the headlamp may account
for some of the potential interference power).
Category 4: Components for which no special release is required
• Headset bearing
• Bottom bracket bearing
• Pedals (if the pedal to the series / original pedal is not wider)
• Front and rear derailleur (all shifting components must be suitable for the number of gears and compatible with each other)
• Shift lever / twist grip
• Gear cables and sleeves
• Chainrings / sprocket (if the number of teeth and the diameter is the same as the original)
• Spokes
• Tube (of the same design and with the same valve)
• Rear light, reflector, spoke reflectors
• Stand
• Grips with screw clamp
