7.2 Cleaning the Power Head
WARNING: When cleaning the power head, do not immerse it in water or other
liquids.
1.
Turn off your machine and remove the battery pack.
2.
Clear any grass or debris that may have wrapped itself around the motor shaft.
3.
Clean dirt and debris from the power head using a damp cloth with mild detergent.
4.
Do not use any strong detergents on the plastic housing or the handle. They can be
damaged by certain aromatic oils, such as pine and lemon, and by solvents such as
kerosene. Try mild detergent on a small and not visible portion prior to ensure there
is no deterioration of the surface.
5.
Completely dry your machine before use. A damp machine presents a shock hazard.
7.3 Transporting and Storing
WARNING: Do not store or transport the power head while it is running. Always
remove the battery pack before storing or transporting it.
WARNING: Clean all foreign material from the power head.
WARNING: Store the unit in a dry, well-ventilated area, locked up or up high, out of
the reach of children. Do not store the tool on or adjacent to fertilizers, gasoline, or
other chemicals.
WARNING: Keep away from corrosive agents such as garden chemicals and
deicing salts.
