6.2 Adjusting the Skid Shoes
CAUTION: Do not make any adjustment to the tool without first stopping the motor
and removing the battery pack.
WARNING: Use extreme caution when operating on or near gravel. Adjust skid
shoes to clear gravel or crushed rock surface to avoid picking up and throwing
objects which could cause serious injury or property damage.
1.
Adjusting the skid shoes allows the tool to travel over multiple types of terrain.
In practice, when working on flat surfaces, it is common to keep the skid shoes
in "1" position with the impeller housing close to the ground. (Fig. 7A)
To avoid wear and tear when on uneven surfaces, the operator needs to increase
the distance from the impeller housing to the ground by moving the skid shoes
downward to "2" or "3" position. (Fig. 7B)
IMPORTANT: If operating this unit on a gravel surface, keep the skid shoes in "3" position to allow
maximum clearance between the ground and impeller housing.
2.
The steps to adjust the height of the skid shoes are as follows:
Remove or loosen the bolts until you are able to move skid up and down freely.
Move the shoes upward or downward to adjust the height. left and right skid
must be adjusted at same position.
Tighten the bolts and nuts.

CAUTION: Always adjust the shoes so that gravel and stones are not fed into the
tool. There is a risk of injury if these are thrown out at high speed.
CAUTION: Ensure the shoes are adjusted to the same height on both sides.
