7. Maintenance and Cleaning
WARNING: Regular inspection is a key step to proper maintenance. By following the
guidelines below, you can maximize the safety, durability, and effectiveness of your
power head. Should you identify any damaged or excessively worn parts, replace
them immediately.
WARNING: Remove the battery pack from the power head before inspecting, storing,
cleaning, or performing maintenance.
WARNING: When servicing, use only identical replacement parts and accessories.
WARNING: Never let petroleum-based products, penetrating oils, etc., come in
contact with plastic parts.
Note: For repairs and service, please work with an authorized service dealer, which can be
located by calling 1 800 463-7040.
7.1 General Maintenance
WARNING: Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-based products,
penetrating oils, etc., come in contact with plastic parts. Using chemicals can
damage, weaken, or destroy plastic which can result in serious personal injury.
WARNING: Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are
susceptible to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be
damaged by their use. Use a clean cloth to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
