When the bead breaking is complete, lu-
bricate the bead and the shoulder of the
rim using the specific grease or a soapy so-
lution, keeping the wheel in movement.
Operate the S.T.S control. + Function for
switching tool unit from one side of the
wheel to the other, with rotation.
NB: With particularly heavy wheels, for
safety reasons, the tool unit should be
moved manually from one side of the wheel
to the other. Do not use the second speed
setting.
Repeat the same operations for front bead
breaking.
DEMOUNTING THE FRONT BEAD:
· Press the "tool plane" button to posi-
tion the wheel correctly relative to the
demounting tool. (fig. 25).
Position the tool so it is in contact with
the tyre, making sure that a safe dis-
tance is kept from the rim in order not
to bump it during the subsequent search
phase; simply make any small correc-
tions manually.
· Advance the tool while simultaneously
rotating the turntable. (fig. 26).
· When near the well, operate the Search
control.
- Once the bead is hooked, return the tool
to the horizontal position with the Search
control (Fig. 27).
· Translate the tool outward to align the
outer edge of the rim with the vertical
notch on the tool pad. (fig. 28).
