technology. In conjunction with the battery's electronic
protection system, the possibility of any damage occurring to
the battery at any time can therefore be ruled out as can any
possibility of overcharging through an incorrect charging current.
The charger is for indoor use only! Please read the charger
manual attached prior to initial use.
Remove the charger (Graphic 6) from the box, loosen the bundle
of cables and connect it to the multi-pole charging socket
located on the side of the battery. A rubber cover protects it
from spray.
The battery can also be charged on the bicycle.
4 CC-CV = Constant Current – Constant Voltage: Controlled current strength is first used
to charge quickly and the battery voltage increases. On approaching the maximum
capacity, the current strength is reduced and the remaining capacity is filled only with
exact maximum specified voltage.
The LED of the battery charger changes from green to red. This
means that charging has started. When the battery pack is
almost fully charged (90%), then the LED changes from red to

blinking green. The first phase of charging (CC = Constant
Current) is complete. CV phase (Constant Voltage) begins. To
charge fully can take up to 8 hours. CC-CV charging in effect
means that after approximately 5 hours, 90% of charging is
complete. A further three hours charging time are still required
in CV-mode for the remaining 10 % capacity (with the existing
2A battery charger). The battery can also be charged on the
bicycle. In this instance, the LCD display alternates between
the current state of charge and a rising bar. The LED changes
to a steady green light once the charging process is complete.
Now the process of cell balancing starts. Although the battery
pack can be removed from the charger at any time, it is
recommended to charge the battery fully on every 10th occasion
and to still allow the cells to balance for 2 hours after a steady
green LED light.

Connect the charger
to the mains socket
using the mains cable
supplied. The LED of
the charger changes
from green to red.
Charging begins.
