In the event of failure to clean or inadequate
cleaning the appliance may have operating
problems including:
• Poor combustion;
• Blackening of the glass;
• Blockage of the burn pot with accumulation of
ash and pellets;
• Deposit of ash and excessive deposits on the
exchanger with consequent poor performance
10.5.7 Flue manifold maintenance
During the maintenance operation, the techni-
cian must:
• Open the door via the opening lever using the
cold handle supplied.
• Remove the burn pot (Fig. 44).
• Remove the ash drawer (Fig. 45)

• Remove the refractories from the fire compart-
ment by first lifting them upwards (1) and then
pulling them outwards (2). Vacuum out the
residual ash on the base and on the side walls
(Fig. 45).
• Remove the upper boiler caps and vacuum out
the residual ash (Fig. 47).

Re-assemble the upper boiler caps, en-
suring to restore the tightness of the
closure. If necessary, replace the seals
• Re-assemble all the components in reverse or-
der
• Check the condition and tightness of all the
seals

sealed and clean
