14. Area measurement

1. Push the button FUNC (I). A parallelogram appears at the top of the
display to indicate area measurement.
2. Activate the target laser (B) by pushing the button ON (C).
3. Push the button ON to measure the first side length of the area. The
measurement is shown in the upper line.
4. Activate the target laser by pushing the button ON.
5. Push the button ON to measure the second side length of the area.
The measurement is shown in the middle line.
6. The device multiplies both readings automatically. The total area is
shown in the bottom line.

15. Adding areas

• This function allows you to add the sizes of several rectangular
surface areas.
• One of both side lengths must be the same for all surfaces. However,
the surfaces need not be adjacent.
• For the correct order of individual measurements, follow the flashing
segments of the indicator for area addition (rectangle with an
attached parallelogram).
