For the MultiAir MA blowers applies:
The blower must be fitted with an external motor pro-
tection. The motor is connected to the outlet side of the
main switch, and the ptc signal is led from the motor
terminal box down to the terminal block on the DIN rail
of the main switch. The supply cable is connected as
shown above, and the ptc signal is connected to the ex-
ternal motor protection, to ensure that the motor protec-
tion switches off in the event of motor overheating.
NB - the hole to the right of the power supply relief can
be used if the blower is to be connected to an external
star delta switch. Remove the cover plate, and route a
cable from the star delta switch through the hole, to the
switch. Remember to mount relief on the cable.
Setup of blower prior to operation
via the operator panel (MultiAir FC/
FCE):
After installation and electrical connection, the blower
can be setup to desired mode of operation. This is done
on the operator panel.
In case fingertip operation problems occur, the eraser
at the end of a pencil could be used.
The Settings menu gives access to setting up of the
blower. Operation and setup of the blower is protected
by 3 levels of users:
1. Operator - is not protected by a password, and is
therefore anybody who has access to the blower.
Operator has always access to:
a) Change language
b) See status
14
In case user Tech has given access, the operator can
also:
c) Choose between Local or Remote control of
set point.
At Local control, the blower can be started and stopped
using the buttons 1 and 2, and the set point adjusted
with buttons 3 and 4.
In case the operator is not allowed to adjust the set
point, the buttons Local and Remote will not appear.
In case user Tech has chosen Local access, the opera-
tor can also start and stop the blower, and adjust the
set point (on the Local display), but not switch to Re-
mote. In case Remote control is chosen, Start/Stop/Up
and Down is not possible at the display.
2. Tech - is protected with a password. Tech assigns
the rights the operator has to adjust the blower´s opera-
tion. The Tech user´s purpose is to assign the Opera-
tors rights. In case Operator has no access to adjust
the set point, it is Tech who does this.
3. Admin - is protected by password. Admin sets the
blower´s operation mode:
speed, pressure/vacuum- or flow control
configuration of the analogue and digital in- and
outputs
Normally, Admin will only be used when setting up the
blower.
NB - After 5 min. of inactivity on the operator panel,
users Tech and Admin are logged off. Hence, you will
have to login again to change further settings.
