enjoying your new multi­purpose appliance, please read the following information carefully . Please
keep this information in a safe place and make sure that it is read by anyone intending to use the
appliance .

Please verify that the voltage specified on the
appliance's rating place corresponds to your
mains voltage . Only connect this appliance to
an AC power outlet!
Note that the appliance becomes hot when
in use . Please avoid touching any hot parts of
the appliance and ensure that the appliance
does not come into contact with its connect­
ing cable or with the connecting cable of any
other electrical appliance .
Place the appliance in an unobstructed space
on a heat­resistant, stable, level surface . Never
place the appliance on a hot surface or near an
open gas flame .
Disconnect the power plug (9) from the mains
if any fault occurs during operation, before
cleaning and after each use .
Never immerse the steaming unit (8) in water
or expose the mains cable to moisture .
If the appliance or connecting lead is dam­
aged, unplug the power plug (9) immediately!
Children are unaware of the possible dangers
associated with electrical appliances . For this
reason, never leave a child alone and unsuper­
vised with this electrical appliance .
Our electrical appliances comply with the
applicable safety regulations . Only ap­
propriately qualified professionals or our
service centre personnel are authorized to
repair our appliances . Unauthorized repairs
may result in significant safety risks to the
user .
The BHG 645 is designed for household use
only and is not suitable for commercial use .
Improper use of the appliance or disregard
of the instructions for use will invalidate war­
ranty .
IMPoRtaNt INStRuCtIoNS FoR
uSING tHE BHG 645
Carefully clean the inside of the containers and
accessories before you use the appliance for
the first time .
Never immerse the electrically heated
steaming unit (8) in water!
Ensure that the room is well ventilated while
using the appliance or use an extractor hood .
Always add water to the steaming unit (8) be­
fore you connect the appliance to the mains .
Never overfill the steaming unit (8) – only fill
to the "Max" level indicated on the unit (= ap­
prox . 3 . 7 5 l) .
Hot water may spurt out if the unit is over­
filled .
Caution: the appliance becomes hot when in
use . Always use the insulated handles (10) pro­
vided and only move the appliance when
cool.
Caution: Risk of scalding due to escaping
steam!
Always unplug the appliance and wait some
time before removing the glass lid (1), e . g .
when turning or removing food during or
after cooking, to avoid the risk of scalding!
If the appliance ever boils dry, an additional
dry­running protection feature prevents over­
heating .
Allow the BHG 645 sufficient time to cool
down before refilling it with water to avoid the
risk of scalding due to steam formation . Steam
can also damage the surface of the appliance .
Always disconnect the power plug (9) from
the mains before filling, emptying or cleaning
the appliance .
The BHG 645 is a stand­alone electrical appli­
ance and is not suitable for heating by an exter­
nal source on electric, gas or charcoal hot plates .
