Lens Assembly Replacement
The lens frame assembly consists of a lens frame, nuts, and screws.
1. Remove the nose cup assembly by grasping the hard plastic ring of the nose cup, where it attaches to the lens, and
gently pulling it up and away from lens assembly (Fig. 15).
2. Remove exhalation valve cover by gently pulling left and right side of cover away from the facepiece (Fig. 12).
3. Remove exhalation valve assembly by turning counter-clockwise 1/4 turn (Fig. 14).
4. Remove speaking diaphragm by turning counter clockwise 1/4 turn (Fig 17).
5. Remove cartridge/filter adapter by rotating retainer rings counter clockwise 1/4 turn (Fig. 18) and removing cartridge/
filter adapter from the lens assembly (Fig. 19).
6. Remove the Phillips screws from frame. Pull the frame away from the faceseal (Fig. 22 and 23).
7. Remove faceseal from lens.
8. Place new lens and faceseal together aligning marks at top and bottom. Position frame, again aligning marks top and
bottom. Install and securely tighten screws. Make certain alignment marks are properly aligned top and bottom with all
components.
9. Install speaking diaphragm.
10. Install exhalation valve assembly.
11. Replace inhalation valve assembly.
12. Replace exhalation valve cover.
13. Replace nose cup assembly (Fig. 16).
