• Do not exceed the safe working load of the hospital bed frame when supporting both the patient and the support surface.
Excess weight could cause unpredictable safety and performance of this product.
• Always make sure that the opposite siderail is raised when you transfer a patient onto the support surface to reduce the
risk of patient fall.
• Always check the CPR connector before use, if visibly soiled, replace. Direct skin contact with soiled material may
increase the risk of infection.
• Always inflate the product and unplug the pump from the mains before you begin cleaning or disinfecting.
• Do not immerse the product in cleaning or disinfectant solutions.
• Do not spray or allow liquids to enter the power cord ports, the hose ports, or the AST socket.
• Always make sure that you wipe each product with clean water and dry each product after cleaning or disinfecting. Some
cleaning and disinfecting agents are corrosive in nature and may cause damage to the product if you use them
improperly. If you do not rinse and dry the product, a corrosive residue may be left on the surface of the product that
could cause premature degradation of critical components. Failure to follow these cleaning or disinfecting instructions
may void your warranty.
• Always disinfect the support surface between patients to avoid the risk of cross-contamination and infection.
• Do not allow fluid to pool on the support surface. Fluids may cause degradation of components and may cause
unpredictable safety and performance of this product.
• The I I s s o o A A i i r r system may interfere with patient ECG measurements. You may need to disconnect the AST cable, turn off
the I I s s o o A A i i r r system, or move the patient to a non-powered system.
• The use of accessories, transducers, and cables, other than those specified or provided by the manufacturer, could
result in increased electromagnetic emissions or decreased electromagnetic immunity and result in improper operation.
• Portable RF communications equipment, including peripherals such as antenna cables and external antennas, should
be no closer than 12 inches (30 cm) to any part of the I I s s o o A A i i r r system, that includes cables specified by the manufacturer.
• Avoid stacking or placing equipment adjacent with other equipment to prevent improper operation of the products. If
such use is necessary, carefully observe stacked or adjacent equipment to make sure that they are operating properly.
• This equipment/system is intended for use by healthcare professionals only. This equipment/system may cause radio
interference or may disrupt the operation of nearby equipment. It may be necessary to take mitigation measures, such
as reorienting or relocating I I s s o o A A i i r r system or shielding the location.

• Improper usage of the product can cause injury to the patient or operator. Operate the product only as described in this
manual.
• Do not modify the product or any components of the product. Modifying the product can cause unpredictable operation
resulting in injury to patient or operator. Modifying the product also voids its warranty.
• Do not tie the support surface to the bed frame with the bottom center D-ring straps to avoid the risk of equipment
damage. The bottom center-D ring straps are for storage only.
• Always be aware of devices or equipment that are placed on the top of the support surface. Damage to the surface may
occur due to the weight of the equipment, heat generated by the equipment, or sharp edges on the equipment.
• Do not put overlays or accessories inside the cover to avoid the risk of reducing pressure redistribution performance.
• Do not place hoses or power cords in walkways to avoid trip hazards.
• Always allow the product to come to room temperature after exposure to extreme high or low temperatures.
• Always check the power cord for cuts, exposed wires, worn insulation, or other damage that could result in electrical
hazards.
• Always be aware that an X-ray taken on this product may cause visible image artifacts. An image artifact may interfere
with patient diagnoses.
• Always store the product within the specified environmental condition values.
• Always completely dry the support surface covers before storing, adding linens, or placing a patient on the surface.
• Do not overexpose the product to higher concentration chemical solutions as these may degrade the product.
• Always follow the manufacturing instructions, failure may affect the useful life of the product.
