• Always check the CPR connector before use, if visibly soiled, replace. Direct skin contact with soiled material may
increase the risk of infection.
• Always disinfect the support surface between patients to avoid the risk of cross-contamination and infection.
• Always make sure that you wipe each product with clean water and dry each product after cleaning or disinfecting. Some
cleaning and disinfecting agents are corrosive in nature and may cause damage to the product if you use them
improperly. If you do not rinse and dry the product, a corrosive residue may be left on the surface of the product that
could cause premature degradation of critical components. Failure to follow these cleaning or disinfecting instructions
may void your warranty.
• Do not allow fluid to pool on the support surface. Fluids may cause degradation of components and may cause
unpredictable safety and performance of this product.
• Always inflate the product and unplug the pump from the mains before you begin cleaning or disinfecting.

• Always completely dry the support surface covers before storing, adding linens, or placing a patient on the surface.
• Do not overexpose the product to higher concentration chemical solutions as these may degrade the product.
• Always follow the manufacturing instructions, failure may affect the useful life of the product.
Suggested disinfectants:
Quaternaries (active ingredient - ammonium chloride) that contain less than 3% glycol ether
Phenolic solution (Matar)
Chlorinated bleach solution (6500 ppm)
Potassium peroxymonosulfate
Accelerated hydrogen peroxide
70% isopropyl alcohol
To disinfect the support surface and pump:
1. Inflate the support surface with the pump.
2. Unplug the power cord from the hospital grade outlet.
N N o o t t e e - - Leave the hose connected to the support surface and pump to retain the air.
3. Clean and dry the support system and pump before you apply disinfectants.
4. Complete steps 5 - 8 for the support surface and repeat for the pump.
5. Apply recommended disinfectant solution with a damp cloth or pre-soaked wipes. Do not soak the product.
N N o o t t e e - - Make sure that you follow the disinfectant manufacturer's instructions for appropriate contact time and rinsing
requirements.
6. Rinse the product with a clean, damp cloth to remove excess disinfectant.
7. Dry the product with a clean, dry cloth to remove excess liquid or disinfectant.
8. Allow the product to dry before you return to service.
9. Insert the power cord under the power cord retention flex grip.
10. Plug the pump power cord into a hospital grade outlet.
