Unit Connection
2 connectors are placed on the back of the
resistance unit:
• cadence sensor connector (optional)
• power charger connector
Please check the "cadence sensor" para-
graph for the cadence sensor installation
(Ref. H).
Connect the power charger (Ref. G) to a power
source and connect the jack plug to the resi-
stance unit; a slight vibration indicates that
the system is resetting to its initial position.
This operation can last up to 15 seconds.
IMPORTANT: USE ONLY THE POWER CHARGER
SUPPLIED WITH THE REALTOUR B+.
Connect the cables (power charger, cadence)
to the unit using the supplied cable stoppers
to prevent any damage by the connectors to
the electronic board (see pic 29).
USING THE REALTOUR B+
Insert the Elite Real Software CD in the DVD-
ROM and follow the Software installation
instructions.
Continue selecting the "Enter" key in order to
select the default settings (suggested).
An icon will appear on the Windows desktop
once this procedure has been completed. It is
now possible to connect the ANT flash drive to
the computer. Should Windows ask for a dri-
ver installation, please follow the troublesho-
oting guide.
USING THE REALTOUR B+
OR THIRD PARTIES APPS
RealTour B+ connects to your smartphone /
tablet / cycle computer with ANT+ and
Bluetooth Smart technology through the Elite
My E-Training app. Third parties apps can
also be used.
Your smartphone / tablet / cycle computer
must be compatible with ANT+ speed/cadence,
20
WITH A PC
WITH ELITE
ANT+ trainer and Bluetooth Smart protocols.
Realtour B+ works best with the ELITE My
E-Training app designed for smartphones and
tablets, but it's possible to use it with other
apps compatible with Bluetooth Smart and/or
ANT+ protocols. There are also many last-gen
ANT+ protocol compatible cycle computers /
GPS devices that can read RealTour B+ data
without using an app.
Not all Android and iOS devices are ANT+ and/
or Bluetooth Smart compatible, to verify com-
patibility, please check the manufacturer's
device website or the following link (for the
ANT+ protocol): (http://www.thisisant.com/
directory/).

USING THE SOFTWARE

Software can be used after installing the
XREAL software and the ANT USB drivers.
Make sure the hometrainer is connected to a
power source.
Double click on the icon (
to load the REAL software (which must be
loaded within 2 minutes of powering up the
unit). As soon as the REAL software loads, the
ANT Flash drive will search for other compo-
nents (hometrainer and heart rate monitor).
PLEASE NOTE: Make sure the components
are connected before loading the software. If
they're not active, the software will not be
able to connect to them.
To make sure that the hometrainer is active,
check for the blinking LED light. If the LED
light is off, the hometrainer is in stand-by
mode (low energy consumption) and cannot
connect to the software. To exit the stand-by
mode, simply spin the resistance unit roller
by pedalling. The LED light close to the power
charger connector should now start blinking.
For the heart rate monitor, just wear it before
loading the REAL software.
The search for components by the REAL
software might last a few seconds. Once the
hometrainer is connected the LED light
remains on, confirming connection with the
