the computer" paragraph.
Once this has been done, a link is set up between
console and resistance unit, allowing the console
to send data to the resistance unit.
To use the console with a different trainer it is
necessary to cancel data linking the console to
the old trainer:
- hold the " " "ENTER" and "TAB" keys on the
console for 3 seconds;
- then load the software and connect the trainer
to the console, this will be enough to create a new
link between the console and the new trainer.
Every time the RealAxiom B+ enters the "Stand
Alone" mode the resistance is set to the minimum.
It is possible to adjust resistance by pressing the
" " and " " keys on the Wireless Console. By
pushing the "
key the resistance increases a nd
the right LED blinks faster, while when pushing
the " " key the resistance lowers and the LED
blinks slower.
The rate at which the right LED blinks is
proportional to the resistance of the roller.
In "Stand Alone" mode the resistance of the of
RealAxiom B+ is modified in small steps, enabling
fine adjustment. This feature allows an almost
perfect simulation of the slight differences in
slope encountered during real riding. Every
press of the key brings about a small increase/
decrease in the resistance. To increase/decrease
the resistance more, keep the key pressed until
obtaining required resistance level.
Note: if going to stand-alone mode when the
console is connected to the PC, the RealAxiom B+
programme loses the connection to the roller and
may become blocked.
USING THE REALAXIOM B+
WITH THE COMPUTER
Insert the Elite Real Software CD in the DVD-
Rom drive and follow the software installation
instructions.
To accept the default parameters (recommended)
just press the "RETURN" key on all the installation
programme windows.
The installation programme windows are shown
in pictures A-B-C-D-E-F-G on page 6-7.
When the installation procedure has terminated,
the Real programme icon will appear on the
Windows desktop. It is now possible to connect
the ANT usb cable to the computer.
Should Windows require the installation of a
driver, follow the procedure indicated by Windows.
USING THE REALAXIOM B+
WITH THE APP
In order to use the Realaxiom B+ with a compatible
app you just need to power up the unit without
connecting the console (Ref. G) and the Flash drive
(Ref. K); then start pedalling in order to initiate
connection between the unit and your smartphone/
tablet/cycle computer.
The pairing, data collection and resistance-
adjustment phases use the ANT+ and Bluetooth
Smart protocols, while the various modes will
depend on the app/cycle computer.
The connection procedure and the use of the device
depends on the device itself and the software/
app you wish to use. Check the software/app for
instructions on how to connect and for use during
training.
The unit starts sending data when connection is
successful, so you'll be able to start training.
USE OF THE SOFTWARE
After installing the programe REAL and USB ANT
drivers the programme can be started. Double click
the icon (
) start the programme REAL.
As soon as the REAL programme starts, the USB
ANT dongle will start looking for the components
(trainer, console and heart rate strap).
NOTE: check that all the components are active
before starting the software. If the components are
not active, the programme won't connect to them.
The trainer and the console are active if the relative
leds are blinking. If the leds are off, this indicates that
the trainer/console are in stand-by mode therefore
they won't connect to the programme.
To wake the trainer up from stand-by mode, just turn
the resistance unit roller, ie by turning the pedals
forward. At this point the led next to the power
connector should start to flash.

USING THE CONSOLE
The 4 keys on the Wireless Console enable the
most common actions to be carried out without
having to use PC keyboard. The four keys are:
