09_POWER SENSOR CALIBRATION
Drivo II can calibrate the internal power measurement
system, which clears the system settings in order to
always obtain accurate power values.
The process is very simple, just select any type of training
on the home trainer and train for at least 10 minutes, then
perform the appropriate function on the My E-Training
software.
The calibration command in the mobile version can be
found in Parameters – Advanced Configuration – Home
trainer calibration, while in the desktop version it can be
found in Settings – Home trainer calibration.
This is accomplished by pedalling and increasing speed
until you reach a certain indicated value.
Remember to stop pedalling at the system prompt.
After a few seconds the system will indicate that the
calibration process was successful.
This value is then stored in the Drivo II's memory, and
accurate power data will be received from every connected
device, including non-Elite third party software / app /
devices.
Please note: the aforementioned calibration procedure can
be conducted with software / app / devices other than the
Elite ones.
10_CADENCE SENSOR
The Drivo II uses an innovative "sensorless" system that
utilizes a sophisticated calculation based on power to track
pedal cadence.
When maintaining a high pedal cadence at low resistance
levels, there may occasionally be a slight inaccuracy
in the cadence value since it is the result of calculation
and not direct monitoring. This occurs especially with fast
pedalling and low resistance.
If the precision of the "sensorless" system is not sufficient,
it is possible to utilize the included wired sensor.
For installation on the bike, follow the instructions on the
enclosed manual.
To activate the cadence detection via the sensor,
connect the sensor to the Drivo II before starting up the
hometrainer. Some software allows the use of wireless
sensors connected directly to the app/software/device. In
this case, please consult the specifications of the software
/ app / device to verify its compatibility with wireless
cadence sensors.
11_HEART RATE MONITOR
Dr ivo II does not feature an integrated heart rate monitor
receiver; heart rate value is sent to the heart rate monitor
via the device connected to Drivo II.
When using the My E-Training app, confirm that ANT+ or
Bluetooth Smart smartphone protocols are compatible with
the smartphone.
12_COMPATIBILITY WITH THIRD PARTY
SOFTWARE / APP / DEVICES
Drivo II includes a subscription for a trial period to My
E-Training software. We suggest using this as it's
complete and features numerous options for cyclist needs.
Thanks using standard protocols, Drivo II is also
compatible with all other software / app / devices that are
compatible with Drivo II's standards. Particularly, when
the software / app / device is compatible with the ANT+
FE-C and Bluetooth Fitness Machine (FTMS) profile, it will
be possible to have total interaction between Drivo II and
these devices.
If, however the software / app / device is compatible with
one or more protocols other than Drivo II, it will be possible
to display training data but not to adjust resistance.
The list of software / app / devices compatible with
the various ANT+ protocols can be found on the www.
