Inserting a rasp into the rasp handle

Push and hold down pushbutton 4.
Slide rasp 7 into handle part 3 as shown in Fig. 1,
making certain that the notch in the rasp
connector points towards the pushbutton.
Release pushbutton 4.
To check that the rasp is firmly seated, verify that
– there is no gap between the endplates.
– the rasp cannot be rotated against the handle.
Driving the rasp in and out
Risk of injury and/or damage to
the product due to incorrect ap-
plication of the hammer!
WARNING
When driving in/driving out
the rasp with a hammer, only
hit the hammer plate of the
rasp handle.
Disassembling

Push in pushbutton 4 at least halfway down.
Rotate pushbutton 4 by approx. 90° in any
direction and release the pushbutton.
The locking mechanism becomes detached.
Remove pushbutton 4 and spring 5.
Note
Never unscrew lateral locking screw 6 on the rasp
handle. This screw has been sealed with a special
adhesive during the manufacturing process; it must not
be removed.
