the breakaway cable through the breakaway cable

The hand-brake lever may not rest on the ground in
an emergency. It is essential that appropriate clea-
rance be provided (
Warning - risk of accident!
In an emergency, it must be ensured that the hand-
brake lever remains free to move after activation
using the breakaway cable (hand-brake in closed
position).
If the hand-brake were to contact the surface of the
roadway, the emergency brake would no longer
function!
AL-KO recommends mounting a support clip
(
3-2) and testing the free movement with the
hand-brake fully engaged (emergency brake ac-
tivated).
Operation
Adjustment of the inertia braking system
Attention crushing!
1.
Unplug the spring cotter pin
2.
Release and turn the stop handle
as it will go.
3.
Adjust the IBS clutch component using the handle
upwards (50°) or downwards (10°) as far as it
will go.
4.
Tighten the stop handle and secure it with a stroke
of hammer (hard rubber hammer).
5.
Retighten the stop handle after about 50 km.
If the drawbar is not in use over a longer period,
the laterals can become unfastened up-, and side-
ward by jerky movements.
Apply the handbrake:
Always tighten the handbrake beyond the dead-centre
position (1).
Release the handbrake:
2).
