1 Turn FUNCTION to select the MD function and
insert an MD.
2 Select the group mode, and select the group to
be erased.
3 Press MD EDIT/REC repeatedly (or hold down
SHIFT and press MD EDIT repeatedly on the
remote control) to display "Erase X?".
4 Within 8 seconds, press GROUP DIRECT (or
GROUP (DIRECT) on the remote control).
"Erase Gp X?" (X is the group number) is displayed.
5 Within 8 seconds, press ENTER/ILLUMINATION
(or ENTER/ILLUMI on the remote control).
"Erase?Gp X?" is displayed.
To cancel, press s.
6 Within 1 minute, press ENTER/ILLUMINATION
(ENTER/ILLUMI).
The selected group is erased and all the succeeding group
numbers are decreased by 1.
"WRITING" is displayed, then "Complete" is
displayed.
Erasing all tracks on a disc
1 Turn FUNCTION to select the MD function and
insert an MD.
2 Press MD EDIT/REC repeatedly (or hold down
SHIFT and press MD EDIT repeatedly on the
remote control) to display "Erase All?".
3 Within 8 seconds, press ENTER/ILLUMINATION
(or ENTER/ILLUMI on the remote control).
"Erase?All?" is displayed.
To cancel, press s.
4 Within 1 minute, press ENTER/ILLUMINATION
(ENTER/ILLUMI).
"WRITING" is displayed, then "Complete" is
displayed.
After completion of the erasure, "Blank Disc" is displayed.
