Notes
•If the system is left for 1 minute at steps 4 to 6, the character
entry mode is cancelled.
•If you enter a track title while playing the track, play is
repeated until the entering finishes.
Characters assigned to buttons on the remote control
To enter character with the remote control, select the kind of
character, then press repeatedly the button to which the desired
character is assigned until the desired character is displayed.

Registering the group title
You can register the titles of the groups.
1 Turn FUNCTION to select the MD function and
insert an MD.
2 While either in the disc mode or group mode,
press MD MODE repeatedly (or hold down SHIFT
and press MD MODE repeatedly on the remote
control) to display "GroupTitle?".
3 Within 8 seconds, press ENTER/ILLUMINATION
(ENTER/ILLUMI).
4 Within 8 seconds, turn VOLUME/MULTI JOG to
select the group number you want to register a
title.
5 Within 8 seconds, press ENTER/ILLUMINATION
(ENTER/ILLUMI).

7 Enter characters.
8 Turn VOLUME/MULTI JOG to select the desired character,
then press g.

On the remote control, press the character buttons (see

this page) seveal times to select a desired character, then
press g.
When g is pressed, the selected character moves one
column to the left.
8 Repeat steps 6 and 7 to enter all the required
characters (up to 50 characters).
Note that the total number of characters that can be entered
for one disc is approximately 1,600.
9 Press ENTER/ILLUMINATION (ENTER/ILLUMI).

Registering the group title during
recording
When performing recording while creating a group (auto
grouping mode on), group title can be registered during
recording.
1 During recording, press MD MODE to display
"GroupTitle?".
2 Within 8 seconds, press ENTER/ILLUMINATION.
3 Follow steps 6 to 9 in "Registering the group title".
