Creating a group only
You can create a new group. Thus a group containing no tracks
is created on an MD.
You can move tracks to this group later manually.
1 Insert a recordable MD.
2 Turn FUNCTION to select the MD function.
3 Press MD MODE twice (or hold down SHIFT and
press MD MODE twice on the remote control).
"GroupTitle?" is displayed.
4 Within 8 seconds, press ENTER/ILLUMINATION
(or ENTER/ILLUMI on the remote control).
"NEW ENTRY?" is displayed.
5 Within 8 seconds, press ENTER/ILLUMINATION
(ENTER/ILLUMI).
6 Press MD MODE (hold down SHIFT and press
MD MODE) to select the kind of character.
"A>" : capital letters
"a>": small letters
"0>": numbers and symbols
* "a>" is not displayed with the remote control. Display
"A>" to enter either capital letters or small letters.
7 Enter characters.
Turn VOLUME/MULTI JOG to select the desired character,
then press g.
On the remote control, press the character buttons (see
page 34) seveal times to select a desired character, then
press g.
When g is pressed, the selected character moves one
column to the left.
8 Repeat steps 6 and 7 to enter all the required
characters (up to 50 characters).
9 Press ENTER/ILLUMINATION (ENTER/ILLUMI).
Editing characters while in entry mode
•To change a character during entering
Press f or g repeatedly until the character to be
changed flashes. Then enter the desired character again.
•To delete characters
Press f or g repeatedly until the character to be
deleted flashes. Then press a.
•To insert a space between the characters
Press f or g repeatedly until the part to be entered
as a space flashes. Then press c.
Note
Titles created by this system may not be displayed correctly
when a disc is played on other equipment.
Changing the order of the groups
You can change the order of groups after completing a recording.
