Reader Unit Set
WORKING WITH THE READER UNIT
CAUTION
Danger from use of MRI.
Only operate the Reader Unit outside the
•
MRI field of application.
NOTE
Limited accuracy and no storage of mea-
sured data for measurements without SD
card.
For the M.scio, the SD card assembled by
•
the manufacturer must be inserted into
the Reader Unit. The implant (see patient
data card) is associated with the respec-
tive SD card via the identification number
(ID). Measured data can only be saved on
the designated SD card.
NOTE
Unexpected termination of measurement
process if SD card is full.
Check memory status prior to starting
•
measurement and delete data no longer
required.
NOTE
The Reader Unit cannot be operated with a
low battery status.
Check battery status. Connect the plug-in
•
power unit if battery status is low.
NOTE
No or bad communication. The telemetric
link between the Reader Unit and the implant
may be disrupted if a further Reader Unit is
used.
Increase the distance between Reader
•
Units.
CAUTION
The telemetric link between the antenna and
the implant may be influenced by a further
implant within the vicinity of the antenna.
Place the antenna in a central position
•
above the implant to be read. Increase the
distance between implants.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE | GB
NOTE
The telemetric link between the antenna and
the implant may be disrupted by metal com-
ponents within the vicinity of the implant.
Increase the distance from metal compo-
•
nents.
NOTE
If the temperature of the M.scio falls below
20°C, use the procedure for "Measurement
without SD card". The device will be oper-
ated with limited accuracy and measured
data cannot be stored. The following error
message can occur during measurement
with SD card:
During continuous or fast measurement:
•
Pressure readings are invalid (Info: mea-
surement will continue)
During a single or fast measurement: Tem-
•
perature readings are invalid (Info: mea-
surement will not continue)
For a more detailed description of errors, see
chapter on "Troubleshooting".
