GENERAL OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The menu-controlled operation of the device
uses the four function keys. The con-
text-related function of these soft keys is indi-
cated by the symbols shown on the display
for each of these keys. The exact meaning
of these symbols is explained in the list of
symbols in the Reader Unit display in chapter
"Symbols in the Reader Unit display".
The preselected submenu is highlighted by a
frame. For improved navigation, the currently
selected position in the submenu is high-
lighted by a scroll bar in addition to the frame.
The <OK>, <Up arrow>, <Down arrow> and
<Exit menu> buttons are used for standard
operation.
When not in use, the Reader Unit switches to
stand-by mode within 1-5 minutes, depending
on the setting.

To access the [Info] menu, press the <Info>
button. The following information is displayed
on the screen:

The <Up arrow> and <Down arrow> buttons
can be used to preselect the desired sub-
menu, which is confirmed with the <OK> but-
ton. Return to the previous menu item with the
button <Exit menu>.
