Before transport, the product must be packaged in such a way that it is protected from moisture, frost and
other damage. Keep the original packaging for this purpose.
3.3.

Storage

• The store room must be dry and frost-proof. We recommend storage in a room with a temperature
between 10 °C and 25 °C.
• The product must be protected from direct sunlight, heat, dust, and frost. Furthermore, the product may
not be stored in rooms where welding takes place. Heat and cold, as well as the gas and radiation given
off during welding can damage the plastic and coatings.

ProDUCt DESCriPtioN

4.1.

Proper use

The Salmson suspension units are suitable for use in sewage and wastewater. They enable pumps and dis-
charge pipes to be easily installed in pits and reservoirs.
4.2.

Construction

The suspension unit is used for the stationary, wet installation of pumps.

4.2.1. Coupling base and flange
The coupling base is the most important component. It is installed directly in the operating area and is used
for connecting the discharge-side pipe system and holding the pump. The individual coupling bases differ in
shape, size and design (with or without elbow). Installation is the same for all coupling bases.
The coupling flange enables the pump to be guided and connected to the coupling base.
