1. GENERAL
1.1 Application
The essential role of the booster is to pressurize a water distribution
network in which the pressure is too low or non-existent, in domestic
application.
Water supply and distributions possible from a well, a stream, or a
tank.
It is possible to boost an insufficient town water pressure provided that
the total pressure does not exceed 4 bars.

3. TRANSPORT AND STORAGE

When the equipment is delivered, check that it has not been dama-
ged in transit. If any defects are found, make the necessary arrange-
ments with the carrier.

Motor protection
Single-phase Hydromini : thermal protection of motor incorporated
in winding; automatic reset.

Three-phase Hydromini : thermal protection incorporated in pressu-
re contactor; manual reset.
Dry-running protection
To avoid accidental loss of water from the pump, we recommend
protecting it by a suitable device (float switch, pressure switch,
YN7112).
4.2 Operating principle
The pump in operation discharges water into the bladder, compres-
sing the air in the tank. When the max. pressure set is reached, the
pump stops.
The air presses on the bladder, driving water into the distribution
pipe when a tap is opened.
When enough water is drawn off for the minimum pressure to be
reached, the pump starts to deliver water and refill the bladder.
The pressure contactor (item 7) automates the operation of the
booster; the pressures can be read on the pressure gauge.
The reserve of water in the bladder means that water can be
drawn without starting the pump.
5. INSTALLATION
5.1 Room
The booster must be installed in a shelter or in a room that is easy to
reach, normally ventilated, and protected from frost.
5.2 Installation (See FIG. 1)
Install on a smooth, level floor or on a concrete foundation block with
attachment by anchor bolts.
Place an insulating material (cork or reinforced rubber) under the
concrete block to prevent any transmission of flowing-water noise.

Water supply
By hose reinforced by spiral wrap, or by pipe.
The booster can be supplied with water, from :
- a well - take caution to max. suction height of the pump;
- a storage tank supplied from a town network, at level or under pres-
sure.
Depending on the water supply, it is essential to fit: a foot valve-strai-
ner in the case of a well or stream; a mandatory check valve on the
suction in the case of direct supply of town water to the Hydromini.
The diameter of the suction piping must never be less than that of the
