Installation
REAR-Facing Installation Harness Mode
Britax strongly recommends that children should ride REAR-
facing until they exceed the weight or height limits specified.
Use REAR-facing only:
• with harness straps in closest
position below the child's
shoulders, and
• with children weighing 2.3 -
22.7 kg (5 - 50 lb), and
• who are 125 cm (49 in) in height
or less, and
• when the top of child's head is
at least 2.5 cm (1 in) below the
top edge of headrest.
NOTE: The anti-rebound bar
MUST be used rear facing.
Follow the instructions on page
17 to attach the anti-rebound
bar to the child restraint before
installing.
Vehicle Lap-Shoulder Belt (Preferred Method)
1. Place child restraint
REAR-facing on the
vehicle seat so that the
bottom of the base sits
flat on the vehicle seat.
2. Recline child restraint to
the appropriate position.
Refer to page 15 to
determine appropriate
recline position.
3. Ensure that no more
than 7.5 cm (3 in) of
base hangs over front
edge of vehicle seat.
