Output Signals

7.1

Switching Outputs

The ETS 3000 has 1 or 2 switching outputs. The following output signals can be set in the
basic settings:

7.1.1 Switching Point Mode (SP)

One switching point and one hysteresis can be set for each switching output. Each output
will switch when its pre-set switching point has been reached and will switch back when the
temperature falls below the switch-back point. The switch-back point is determined by the
pre-set hysteresis (switch-back point = switching point minus hysteresis).

7.1.2 Window Mode (WIN)

Window mode enables you to monitor a range. An upper and lower switching value which
defines the range can be set for each switching output.
The particular output is switched when the temperature enters this range. The output
switches back when the temperature leaves the range. The lower switch-back value is just
below the lower switching value (lower switching value minus 3x the increment, see section
7.4). The upper switch-back value is just above the upper switching value (upper switching
value plus 3x increment, see section 7.4). The range between the switching value and the
switch-back value forms a safety zone which prevents unwanted switching operations (e.g.
in the case of extremely slow temperature rises).
