6.7 - Settings
This menu (fig. 43) is used to make operational and other settings, some of
which are accessible to the user . Caution! - For reasons of compliance with
EN50131, certain functions are mandatory and limited as indicated, and non-
compliant settings are not accepted .

6.7.1 - Automatic arming
Enables timed (user settable) arming of the control panel (total or partial) . Dis-
arming is always manual .
Caution! – Make sure the control panel's date and time are correct .
01. Select "Automatic arming" .
02. In the next page, touch "Arm" and select "YES"; then confirm with "OK" .
03. Touch "Zones" and specify the zones to be armed; confirm again with
"OK" .
04. Touch "Hour" and specify the hour at which the alarm system is to be
armed; confirm with "OK" .
05. Specify the minutes, and confirm once more with "OK" .
06. Confirm the entire procedure one last time with "OK" .
6.7.2 - Exit delay
Defines the delay between the arming and actual operativity of the alarm sys-
tem, so as to allow persons to exit the building without tripping the alarm sys-
tem . The factory setting is a 60 second delay .
01. Select "Exit delay" .
02. In the next page, enter the time in seconds (0 to 99) and confirm with "OK" .
6.7.3 - Exclusion
6.7.3.1 - Excluding wireless detectors
In case of need, you can disable a detector and re-enable it at a later time . This
does not delete it, but prevents it from being used (alarms sent by these sen-
sors are not tracked even in the Events List) .

6.7.3.2 - Excluding Wired Detectors (HSCU2C and HSCU2GC
control panels only)

6.7.4 - Periodic message
Caution– When EN50131 is enabled, this function is always active . However,
you can modify the time and frequency .
This enables technical SMS n . 11 (see table 5) on the control panel, at a precise
time of day and set frequency (e .g .: at 20:30, every 24 hours) .
01. Select "Periodic message" .
02. In the next page, touch "Enable" and select "YES"; then confirm with
"OK" .
03. Touch "Time" and specify at which time of day you wish to send the SMS
confirm with "OK" .
04. Specify the minutes, and confirm once more with "OK" .
05. Touch "Frequency" and specify after how many hours you wish to receive
the message, after the last time it was sent (e .g: "12", i .e . after 12 hours;
"24", after 24 hours, etc .) . Confirm with "OK" .
Caution! – After programming the frequency of the periodic message, you
must enable reception of the technical SMS on the respective phone numbers
(see par . 6 .5) .
6.7.5 - Alarm type
Caution– If EN50131 is enabled, the alarm type may only be set to "Siren" .
This allows you to associate to each zone (A, B, C, D, E, F) a specific sound,
selected between the standard siren sound and a voice message to dissuade
intruders, which can be recorded into the outdoors siren .
In this way, when a detector trips the alarm, the siren emits the sound pro-
grammed for the zone to which the detector in question belongs .
01. Select "Alarm type" .
02. In the next page, select a zone and assign the alarm type: "Siren" (tradi-
tional siren sound) or "Voice" (customised voice message recorded in the
outdoors siren . For recording instructions, refer to the respective sheet in
the HSCU2 control panel Installation Manual . Confirm with "OK" .

6.7.6 - Outputs
6.7.6.1 - Relays (HSCU2C and HSCU2GC only)
The HSCU2C and HSCU2GC control panels have two programmable relay
outputs which act on certain events (see table 8) .
