6.4.4 - Programming an intrusion detector
The procedure associates an intrusion detector (volumetric, magnetic contact,
etc .) with the control panel . A single detector can be programmed using "Add
1 detector" or a pair, with "Add 2 detectors" .
Before programming the device:
- decide which group to assign it to (zone A, B, C, D, E, F);
- if necessary, change the detector's factory dip switch settings: for each
detector, refer to the accessories sheet in the HSCU2 control panel manual .
Caution! – A detector may belong to only one zone; to move it to another zone
it must be deleted and programmed anew .
Programming a detector:
01. Select the zone to assign the detector to: "Alarm zone A", B, C, D, E, F .
02. Select the detector: touch "Add 1 detector" .
03. Fill out all fields (fig. 37) as fol-
lows:
Delay: Touch "Delay" and enter
the alarm delay (0 Sec = alarm
is sent immediately) . This delay
gives the user time to enter the
home and disarm the alarm with-
out tripping the detector . Con-
firm with "OK" .
Name: Touch "Name" and enter the detector's name (e .g .: "kitchen") .
Confirm with "OK" .
Voice name: Touch "Voice name" and record the name of the detector
(e .g .: "kitchen") .
04. Confirm with "OK" .
05. Touch "OK" again and fit the battery into the detector . The control panel
beeps to confirm (3 beeps indicate that the detector is already present) .
06. Press "OK" to save the settings .
Programming 2 linked detectors:
This function helps to reduce improper alarms . When the function is active, the
control panel only activates the alarm if it receives a signal from both detectors
within 30 seconds of each other .
Caution! – The two detectors must be programmed one after the other . If
either of the detectors is already programmed, delete it before proceeding with
the "Modifying or deleting an existing detector" .
01. Select the zone to which the assign the two detectors: "Alarm zone A", B,
C, D, E, F .
02. Select one of the two detectors: touch "Add 2 detectors" .
03. Fill out all fields in the following page as follows:
Name: Touch "Name" and enter the name of the pair of detectors (e .g .:
"kitchen") . Confirm with "OK" .
Voice name: Touch "Voice name" and enter the name of the pair of
detectors (e .g .: "kitchen") .
04. Confirm with "OK" .
05. Press "OK" and fit the battery into the first detector (the control panel
beeps, if it beeps 3 times the detector is already present) .
06. Press "OK" and fit the battery into the second detector (the control panel
beeps, if it beeps 3 times the detector is already present) .
07. Press "OK" to save the settings .
Modifying or deleting an existing detector:
01. Select the detector you wish to modify or delete .
02. To modify it, select "Display" and proceed as indicated in par . 6 .4 .4 .
03. To delete it, select "Delete" and confirm with "YES" and "OK" . The control
panel beeps to confirm and displays a confirmation message . Press "OK"
to return to the "Alarm Zones" menu .
Select
to return to the devices menu .
6.4.5 - Programming the 24H Panic and 24H Robbery keys
The procedure programs the emergency/dissuasion keys on the remote con-
trols and the keypads .
01. Select "24H Panic" or "24H Robbery" .
02. Touch a line in the list that displays, press "add" and fill out the next page
with the following parameters:
Name: Touch "Name" and enter the event's name (e .g .: "emergency") .
Confirm with "OK" .
Voice name: Touch "Voice name" and record the name of the event (e .g .:
"Grandmother emergency") .
37
04. Confirm with "OK" .
05. Touch "OK" again and then, on the remote or keypads, the icons
hold down the dissuasion/emergency key for 10 seconds (the control panel
beeps, if it beeps 3 times the remote control is already present) .
06. Confirm with "OK" .
To activate emergency/dissuasion voice message or SMS transmis-
sion, see par. 6.5.
6.4.6 - Programming a 24H Technical detector
The procedure associates a technical detector (i .e ., flooding, smoke, etc .) to
the control panel . This type of detector must be programmed into the "24H
Technical" group . This group is always armed .
01. Select "24H Technical" .
02. Select one of the programmable detectors and press "Add" .
03. Fill out all fields in the following page as follows:
Name: Touch "Name" and enter the detector's name (e .g .: "kitchen
smoke") . Confirm with "OK" .
Voice name: Touch "Voice name" and record the name of the detector
(e .g .: "smoke") .
04. Confirm with "OK" .
05. Touch "OK" again and fit the battery into the detector . The control panel
beeps to confirm (3 beeps indicate that the detector is already present) .
- HSDIW01 (flooding sensor): this must be connected to the HSDID11 by
cable; to program it, refer to the accessories sheet in the HSCU2 control panel
installation manual .
6.4.7 - Programming other devices
Along with the siren integrated into the control panel, other wireless sirens are
available which, if installed, must be associated with the control panel as fol-
lows .
Indoors siren (HSSI):
01. Fit the batteries into the siren .
02. (within 60 seconds) On the touch screen, or with a remote control, arm and
disarm the alarm system (the siren will beep 6 times) .
Important – This operation must be performed each time the siren's batteries
are changed .
Outdoors siren (HSSO1):
01. Select "Other devices" .
02. Select a device in the list that displays, press "add" and fill out the next
page with the following parameters:
Name: Touch "Name" and enter the device's name (e .g .: "siren") . Confirm
with "OK" .
Voice name: Touch "Voice name" and record the name of the device
(e .g .: "siren") .
03. Confirm with "OK" .
04. Touch "OK" again and fit the siren's batteries (the control panel beeps) .
05. Now mount the siren to the wall as indicated in the accessories sheet in the
HSCU2 control panel's installation manual .
06. When its housing is closed, the siren will beep and start flashing . Immedi-
ately disarm the alarm with touch screen or a remote control .
07. The siren now beeps 6 times to indicate that it has been successfully pro-
grammed .
6.4.8 - Wired inputs
The HSCU2GC and HSCU2C control panels have a terminal block with 6
inputs for lines hooking up to detectors (with EN50131 balanced output of NC
contact); they also have a 24H input which, when used with an EN50131 bal-
anced input, acts as a fault input . If used with an NC input, it acts as a tamper
input . For details, see Chapter 5 .
These inputs are recognised by the control panel in self-learning mode . Param-
eter Set EN50131 automatically sets all inputs as balanced and the 24H input
as a fault input . If you wish to remove these inputs later on, simply set the
"Test" function on the control panel and disconnect the devices .
These inputs are factory set as follows (the configuration can be changed at
any time):

IN 3

IN 4
