Notes on the control panel test:
- Certain detectors transmit their signal twice; the list should may therefore
show two consecutive events .
- After detecting and transmitting its first signal, a volumetric sensor will nor-
mally remain inactive for 3 minutes . Therefore, in order to run the test, it is
essential that the protected area be unoccupied for at least 3 minutes before
the detector is tripped . When the detector has its battery compartment open,
the 3 lockout is disabled; we recommend running the test with the battery
compartment open to facilitate the test procedure .
VERY IMPORTANT! – On completing the installation of all devices, run
the test again to check one more time that everything is working cor-
rectly.
6.10.2 - Dialler test
This test check whether the control panel is able to make phone calls to a
selected number, over the landline or cellular line . Before proceeding:
a) make sure the landline is connected to the control panel . Important! – If
an ADSL line is used, a special filter must be installed between the tel-
ephone socket and the control panel, see the HSCU2 installation man-
ual;
b) make sure you have inserted and enabled the SIM card;
c) make sure you have programmed the voice and SMS messages (see Voice
Messages chapter) .
Run the test as follows:
01. Provisionally place the control panel in its intended position .
02. Enable the "Dialler" test function:
03. On the keypad which displays, dial the phone number to which you wish to
send the voice message or SMS; confirm with "OK" .
04. From the list, select the message you wish to send and confirm with "OK" .
05. Select the type of line (PSTN or GSM) and confirm with "OK" .
06 . Wait for the message to be received . You can abort the test by touching
"OK" .
If the test does not work, the cause may be:
- the SIM is not properly inserted;
- the PIN has not been disabled;
- no message or call is received = try moving the control panel to a position with
better GSM signal strength or change cellular provider;
- no PSTN landline call is received = the phone line may be disturbed: if so, to
force the call, dial the symbol Q before the number itself (e .g .: Q0421 987654) .
If the call is connected properly, add the symbol Q as a prefix to all
numbers in the "Phone book".
Note - When Q is used, the system not only makes a landline call (PSTN), but
also makes a backup call over the GSM connection .
6.10.3 - Field meter
This special function monitors any interference on the frequencies used by the
alarm system:
CH1: 433 Mhz signal
CH2: 868 Mhz signal
CH3: control panel/touch screen communications channel
• Select "Field meter" and in the
next page (fig. 54) press
start the analysis of the wireless
signals .
The cursors indicate the intensity of
the various signals .
• Press
to terminate the analy-
sis and
to return to the test
menu .
Press
