6. Safety instructions
These safety instructions refer only to the product
itself. Additional legal operator duties, for example,
regarding foodstuff hygiene as well as occupational
safety, are published by legislators and not by device
manufacturers.
Kindly transform the cognitions from the safety
instructions in this manual into operational
instructions for your personnel and self-service
customers:
In the beverage dispensing area there is danger
through scalding when hot liquids are dispensed.
This is the case ...
–
when beverages are dispensed
–
during automatic cleaning.
Make sure that nobody reaches into the beverage
dispensing area as long as the machine is
switched on. Naturally, this does not apply to
inserting and removing vessels - the required
safety distances have already been sufficiently
taken into account at the design.
There is danger of crushing in case of
malfunction if somebody reaches into the coffee
beans container while the machine is running:
–
Make sure that nobody reaches into one of
the containers as long as the machine is
switched on. During operation, reaching into
the machine is never required at any point.
Danger to life through electrical shock may
exist as well as risk of injury through hot or
moving parts when housing parts or covers are
opened.
–
Never open any housing parts or covers
unless instructed to do so. There are no
operating elements inside the machine.
Protect the machine from humidity! There may
be danger to life through electrical shock if water
reaches machine parts other than those
specifically intended for contact with water.
Especially ...
–
Never operate the machine outdoors.
–
Never hose off the machine with water.
–
Never hose off the setup area, for example,
using a hose or high-pressure cleaner.
Note:
During operation hot water can be ejected under
the grill. This is not a leakage or malfunction, it is
caused by the automatic water exchange in the
steam boiler.
