5.d Requirements on the electrical connection
The supply voltage must match the
specifications on the type plate.
The supply line must be fuse-protected in the
building using a ground fault circuit
interrupting (GFCI) switch (max. 30 mA).
When connected via a power plug, the outlet
must be easily accessible during operation to
be able to pull the plug in case of malfunction.
If the unit is permanently wired, a switch with
at least 3 mm contact isolation with all-pole
disconnection must be supplied in the building.
5.e Requirements on the personnel

Adjustments, cleaning and setup on the
machine may only be performed by the installer
or by persons instructed by the manufacturer.
Any repair and maintenance work on the
machine may only be performed by customer
service or by professional personnel authorized
by the manufacturer.
The machine may only be operated (in the
self-service or shop service operation) by
persons familiar with the general use of
heat-generating household appliances. The
machine may not be used unsupervised or
without instructions by children or persons unable
to safely use the unit because of their physical,
sensory or mental abilities or their lack of
experience or subject knowledge.
5.f Requirements on the installation location
The machine may only be installed and used in
closed dry rooms and not outside! The effects
of humidity and temperature may impede the
function and safety of the machine.
The machine may only be installed or stored at
locations safe from freezing.
Because of the heat development, the setup
location requires at least 10 cm additional
space toward the rear and toward the top at
least 200 mm to be able to fill the bean container.
If the machine is to be operated by uninstructed
persons, it must be positioned to permit
permanent supervision by instructed personnel.
The machine must be level. Adjustable bases
are available for alignment on slightly uneven
surfaces.
5.g Requirements on the operation
The regular cleaning activities must be
performed as described in these instructions.
After each 30.000 cups or 12 months of
operation (whichever occurs first), a major
maintenance of the machine must be
performed by customer service (chargeable
service).
Apparent malfunctions or damages must first
be inspected by customer service and possibly
be serviced before the machine may be used
again.
The inspection - legally required by commercial
operators - of the system every 4 years by an
authorized professional for proper condition must
be performed and documented. This can be
done by customer service and certified (no
additional inspection is required before the initial
startup).
