5.c Canister operation
If your machine should not be permanently connected
to the fresh and waste water system, you can also
operate it with 2 canisters.
Plug the quick-plug coupling of the fresh water
hose into the connection at the cover of the
freshwater canister.
You can loosen these connections again by
simply sliding the ring down on the quick-plug
coupling.
Connect the waste water pipe to the connection
on the waste water canister's lid.
If you are working with canisters:
Empty both canisters daily! Do not leave any
residual water in them; fresh water can quickly
contaminate with mould spores.
Also observe the water carbonate hardness
limit values with canister operation! If necessary,
the freshwater provision must be filled through
the water filter (Brita).
Prior to each filling, clean the fresh water
canister and its cover area with an odour neutral
cleanser (conventional dish detergent) - and thus
prevent "canister aroma" from occurring. Do not
forget to thoroughly rinse out the cleanser
residue afterwards.
Also clean the waste water container daily with
a normal detergent. Organic residues that
generate odours while remaining in the canister
for multiple days are contained in the waste
water.
Also clean the strainer in the fresh water pipe -
this needs to be done every time the machine is
serviced, or at least once a year.
To do this, unscrew the cap at the front and rinse
out the strainer insert.
