4.6 Rinsing at switch-off (OFF-Rinse)
The switch-on rinsing was pre-programmed at the factory and is permanently
installed. Every time the appliance is switched on from the Sleep mode, it will heat up
and request a rinsing operation so that the lines remain clean and that coffee will only
be brewed with fresh water. The rinse request will be shown on the display, and will
be started by pressing des Control button (2).
As an option, you can also program automatic rinsing after the switch-off of the appli-
ance (factory setting is disabled). This rinsing will only be carried out, however, if a cup
of coffee is drawn immediately before the appliance is switched off.
Turn the Control button (2) to the symbol in the Main menu:
• Press the Control button to confirm.
• Turn the Control button to «Rinsing at switch-off» and press it to confirm.
• Turn the Control button to «Disable» or «Enable».
• Press the Control button to confirm the entry.
• The display shows a list of the settings.
• You can either continue programming or return to the Main menu with the Exit
button (4).
☛ If you have programmed the switch-off rinsing to «Enable», please remember
that, after switching the appliance off, you must place a cup under the coffee
outlet (5) in order to catch the rinsing water.

4.7 ECO mode

This fully automatic appliance is equipped with a modern power saving function (ECO
mode) that switches the appliance to a minimum heating level 3 minutes after it has
last been used (the display will become weaker). The heating-up time can therefore
be a bit longer when the appliance starts up again from the ECO mode.
You can also disable the ECO mode, in which case the appliance will always be at the
full readiness when switched on, or you can extend the change-over time to 5 or 15
minutes:
