Intraoperative Testing
The External Trial Stimulator, OR Cable, OR Cable Extension, and Clinician Programmer (CP) are
used to conduct intraoperative stimulation testing during the procedure. The OR Cable Extension
is designed for temporary connection to the OR Cable to facilitate stimulation testing outside of
the sterile field. The External Trial Stimulator and OR Cables used depends on the Stimulator
being implanted. Intraoperative testing can be performed with either External Trial Stimulator 1 or
External Trial Stimulator 2 and compatible OR Cables, depending on the Stimulator that will be
implanted. For additional information, see your DBS Reference Guide.
