8. Remove the canister/tubing set from the packaging and attach it to Invia Motion NPWT pump.
For dressing applications, please refer to instructions for use provided with Invia dressing kits.
9. Connect the pump tubing to the dressing tubing. Push together until you hear a click.
Make sure both parts are aligned correctly as shown in the picture below.
10. Open the clamp on the dressing tubing. Also make sure the clamp on the pump tubing is open.
11. Switch the Invia Motion NPWT pump on by pressing [
12. Discard the used canister/tubing set according to local regulations.

Power supply and battery management

The Invia Motion NPWT pump is operated by an internal rechargeable NiMH battery and while attached to a
power source. Make sure the battery compartment on the back side of the pump is closed. Do not remove
battery from device as long as therapy is ongoing. If the rechargeable battery is removed more than 30 minutes
the Invia Motion NPWT pump will suspend to operate.
For disposal of rechargeable battery after therapy, refer to chapter Disposal. Fully charge battery before first use.
Charging time can be up to 4 hours.
While in use and connected to a power source, the battery is recharged. The available battery time from a
single charge depends upon the runtime of the motor. This is influenced by the size of the wound, air leaks in
the dressing, the set pressure and the mode of therapy. The pump only runs if the pressure drops below the
set pressure. If the Invia Motion NPWT pump is running continuously, a maximum of 4 hours of battery time
is expected before it is necessary to be recharged. The expected battery time generally exceeds 10 hours. If
the Invia Motion NPWT pump is not in use, the battery must be charged approximately once every 6 months
to ensure optimal functioning.
Before attaching the Invia Motion NPWT pump to a power source, check to ensure your local power
supply is the same as the voltage indicated on the specification plate located on the back of the
pump.
