CONTROL UNIT FUNCTIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS

ON/OFF FUNCTION

The unit is switched on from standby mode (picture 5) by
pressing the switch [1] for 5 seconds. To switch off repeat the
process and the unit returns to standby mode.
WARNING! Do not remove any panels or guards or
electrical control panels before disconnecting the mains supply
by removing the plug, switching off isolator or removing fuse.

PROGRAM SELECTION MODE

When the unit is switched on, bC1 –program is selected as
default (factory setting). The selected program is diisplayed
on D1 (picture 6).

ON BC/BF-MODELS ONLY

By pressing the "MODE" switch [A], you can change the
program from blast chilling (bC) to (bF) blast freezing or to
combination of blast chilling on to blast freezing in one
operation.
The control processor has free memory slots for the operator
to customise the process to suit their requirements i.e. small
batches, easily chilled food that make shorter period to chill
than normal or food being enterred below +70°C and the time
required will be less than normally recommended. There are 9
available programmable memory slots (bC1 to bC9 for all
models and bF1 to bF9 BC/BF-models). To select the required
program in the memory press either arrow up switch [3] or down
[4] . All the entered programs can be altered prior to
commencement of the process by pressing switch [B] or [C].
Please note these changes will not be saved in the memory.
When chilling delicate foods that can be easily damaged or
frozen i.e. whipped cream, the fan speed can be adjusted by
pressing switch [B] to half speed. But please note on half speed
the process may take longer.
Also to avoid freezing of the product during blast chilling the
processes can be controlled by using the soft/hard switch [C].
When adjusted to 1 the process retarted to gentle chilling mode,
selecting position 7 blast chilling is at it's most effective.
With the cabinet set to [bC] mode the chilling program can be
controlled by the actual food temperature or, as all the other
processes, by time. If you select to chill by food temperature the
probe must be inserted in to the food prior to starting the blast
chilling program. When the food reaches selected temperature
the processis complete and the room will revert to a normal
holding mode. The actual product temperature is shown on the
display D2, while D3 shows the set point temperature.
Once the selected program is activated by the start/stop
switch, then settings can not be alternated unless the process
is stopped. After the program has ended (rdy), the fi rst defrost
cycle starts after which the control unit automatically transfers to
the normal holding mode and the cabinet can be used to
temporarily storing of cold/frozen products.
Note: do not add warm foods when the cabinet is in holding
mode.
