Cleaning and Care

CAUTION!
❐ Remove the plug from the mains socket before cleaning the device.
❐ After use, the device may still be very hot. Allow the device to cool down completely
before you empty the water reservoir and/or clean the device and store it away.
❐ Never immerse the device in water or other liquids!
❐ Never touch the device, the cable or the plug with wet hands.
❐ Never pour any descaling agents, cleaning agents, vinegar or other additives into
the water reservoir. This could destroy the device and safe working is no longer
guaranteed.
❐ Do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or cleaning pads for cleaning.
These can damage the surface. Do not use any metal objects to remove dirt from
the bottom of the iron. Do not stick any objects into the steam nozzles in the bottom
of the iron.
Empty the water reservoir (see the "After Use" section).
If necessary, wipe off the outside of the device or the storage station with a soft,
slightly damp cloth and dry it with a soft cloth.

Self-Cleaning Function

CAUTION!
❐ Danger of scalding! Hot water and steam will emerge from the bottom of the iron dur-
ing the self-cleaning process. Keep the bottom of the iron away from all body parts
and delicate materials when you press the SELF CLEAN button!
❐ Only ever press the SELF CLEAN button to perform self-cleaning and not during
ironing!
If you do not use distilled water, perform the working steps which are described below
regularly (at least every 10 operating hours):

2. Fill the internal water reservoir of the device up to the MAX marking with water (see
the "Filling the Internal Water Reservoir" section). Ideally you should only ever use
distilled water for self-cleaning.
3. After each use of the device, empty the water reservoir
(both the internal and the external one in the storage sta-
tion). To do this, open the water reservoir cover, hold the
device / storage station over a sink or similar outlet and
turn the device / storage station upside down. The re-
maining water will now run out of the reservoir.
