Use
CAUTION!
❐ Although the iron has an automatic safety switch-off function, you should still pull the
mains plug out of the plug socket after ironing or during any prolonged pauses in or-
der to prevent personal injury or damage to property. Never leave the iron unattended
while it is connected to the mains power and keep children away from it.
❐ Never attempt to iron clothes while somebody is wearing them.
❐ Risk of injury! Only hold the device by the handle when you are operating it.
❐ Only iron on a stable, fl at, heat-resistant and moisture-resistant surface. We recom-
mend that you use a standard ironing board.
❐ Do not iron on surfaces made from glass or plastic.
❐ Always work with suffi cient lighting.
❐ Always test the device fi rst on a small, inconspicuous spot on the clothing.
❐ Never iron for too long on one spot to prevent damage to the clothing.
❐ Do not iron over zips, studs, clips etc. to prevent any scratching of the ceramic coat-
ing on the bottom of the iron.
❐ Open the water reservoir cover only to fi ll the water reservoir. Otherwise keep the
cover closed while operating the iron.
❐ Always place the storage station down on an even, stable surface.
❐ During and shortly after use, place the device on the storage station which is supplied
or an even, stable and heat-resistant surface. Always place the device upright on
its base to prevent damage to the surface which could be caused by the hot bottom
section of the iron.
NOTE: The fi rst time you use the device, you might notice a slight odour. This is harm-
less and will cease as you use the device.
Delicate fabrics should be ironed inside out to preserve the material. In addition,
you should not use the spray function on delicate fabrics so that no stain marks
are produced.
Temperature Setting
1. Check before ironing whether the garment which is to be ironed has a label with
ironing instructions on it and follow them. If you do not fi nd any ironing instructions,
you can choose the appropriate temperature based on the type of fabric. Around
the display 7 types of fabric are specifi ed for different temperature settings. You can
consult the following table for the temperature and steam settings:
